A Look Back at the HDYO Congress 2025

The HDYO Congress 2025 brought together young people, families, researchers, and professionals from around the world for an unforgettable event dedicated to the Huntington’s Disease community. Over three inspiring days, attendees engaged in insightful discussions, groundbreaking research presentations, and powerful personal stories that reinforced the importance of connection and advocacy in the HD space.

This year’s Congress featured a diverse program, covering essential topics such as research, stigmas of HD, advocacy, caregiving. While expert speakers shared their knowledge, there were also some dedicated rooms for the attendees to take a break and relax, with also on-site mental health appointments available.

Beyond the educational sessions, the Congress fostered a spirit of unity and celebration. One of the standout moments was the closing night social event, where attendees came together to unwind, dance, and enjoy the music. Adding a special touch to the night, our very own Daniela, IHA’s Communication Manager, took on the role of DJ, setting the perfect tone with a mix of classic hits and modern favorites. The dance floor was packed with people celebrating not just the event, but the strength and vibrancy of the HD community.

The HDYO Congress 2025 was more than just a conference—it was a space of learning, empowerment, and joy. As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting young people impacted by Huntington’s Disease and creating more opportunities for connection and education. Until next time!
