Over the past 50 years, the International Huntington Association has been commited to improving the lives of those affected by Huntington’s Disease. Here are just some of the things we have achieved in the recent past:
Reached consensus on the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for the MENA region
Reached more than 50 000 people through our website and social media for the past 2 years alone
Supported Pakistan in developing their first genetic testing capabilities and the creation of an association website
Hosted the first HD Meeting for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and participated in the first Rare Disease Meeting in the MENA region as a Scientific Partner
Formed a global advocacy board in partnership with the HD Youth Organization (HDYO) and European Huntington Association (EHA) called HD-Community Advisory Board
Translated our website into 27 languages, reaching people from 178 different countries
